How to remove an object from a photo

  1. Upload a JPG, PNG, or WEBP photo (up to 15MB).
  2. Brush over the object, person, or item you want gone.
  3. Click Remove Object — the AI model loads once and erases the painted area.
  4. Download the result as a PNG at your photo's original resolution.

AI inpainting reconstructs the painted area using the surrounding pixels — useful for cleaning up photobombers, stray objects, timestamps, wires, or anything else you'd rather not have in the shot.

Object Removal FAQ

Is this object removal tool free?

Yes. It's completely free with no signup and no watermark. The AI model runs on your own device in the browser.

Is my photo uploaded to a server?

No. The AI model (about 200MB) is downloaded to your browser once and cached — after that, every photo you erase objects from is processed entirely on your device and never leaves it.

How does it decide what to remove?

You brush over the area you want gone with your mouse or finger. An AI inpainting model (LaMa) then reconstructs that area to blend naturally with the rest of the photo.

Will the result be full resolution?

Yes. The AI works at a fixed 512×512 resolution internally, but this tool blends its output back into your original photo — only the area you painted is touched, so everything else stays at your photo's full original resolution.

What if the result doesn't look clean?

Inpainting AI works best on small-to-medium objects against a fairly consistent background (sky, wall, grass, floor). Very large or complex objects, or busy backgrounds, are harder to reconstruct convincingly. Try painting a slightly larger area around the object, or use Clear Brush and try again.
