Guide

The calculator takes three inputs: the monthly SIP amount, the expected annual return in percent, and the duration in years. Results update as you type, with no submit button. Growth is compounded monthly at one-twelfth of the annual rate, and each installment is treated as invested at the start of its month, so it earns growth from the month it is made.

A worked example makes the output concrete. ₹5,000 a month at an assumed 12% for 10 years means 120 installments and ₹6,00,000 invested. The estimated maturity value is ₹11,61,695, so growth adds about ₹5,61,695 — roughly 94% of the money you actually put in. Change the return or the duration and watch how quickly those numbers move.

The year-wise table is where compounding becomes visible. Each row shows what you have invested so far, the estimated value at that point, and the gain between the two. In the early years the gain is small next to your deposits; the gap widens every year because earlier growth itself keeps growing. Fractional durations work too — enter 2.5 years and the calculator uses 30 months, with the last row covering the final partial year.

Know what it leaves out before relying on it. The monthly amount is fixed for the whole duration (no step-up and no lumpsum mode), the return is a number you choose rather than a forecast, and there is no deduction for fund expense ratio, exit load, tax or inflation. Treat the result as a planning estimate, not a promise. Everything runs in your browser, so nothing you type is uploaded.

Worked example: ₹5,000 a month at 12% for 10 years

Generated with the same formula the calculator uses. Estimates only, not guaranteed returns.

FAQ

How do I calculate my SIP maturity value?

Enter the monthly amount, the expected annual return and the duration in years. The maturity value, total invested, total gain and a year-wise table appear instantly.

Is the result guaranteed?

No. The return rate is an assumption you supply. Actual mutual fund returns move with the market and are never guaranteed, so use the result as a planning estimate.

Does it include expense ratio, exit load or tax?

No. It estimates maturity value from the return you enter and does not deduct fund costs, exit load, taxes or inflation.

Can I enter a duration like 2.5 years?

Yes. The duration is converted to whole months (2.5 years becomes 30 months), and the final row of the year-wise table covers the last partial year.

Is my data sent anywhere?

No. All calculations happen in your browser and nothing is uploaded.

About this tool

SIP Calculator Online Free

Estimate what a fixed monthly mutual fund SIP could grow to, with total invested, total gains, and a year-by-year table. This page focuses on the SIP Calculator Online Free variant.

A SIP puts a fixed amount into a fund every month, so the final value depends on three things you choose: how much you invest, the return you assume, and how long you stay invested. This calculator compounds monthly at one-twelfth of the annual rate and treats each installment as invested at the start of its month, then shows the estimated maturity value, the total you put in, the growth on top of it, and a year-by-year table so you can watch compounding build over time. The return is a number you supply, not a forecast, and the estimate does not deduct fund expense ratio, exit load, tax, or inflation. The monthly amount stays fixed for the whole duration, so there is no step-up or lumpsum mode. Treat the result as a planning estimate, not a promise of returns.

When to choose this tool

Choose the SIP Calculator when you are investing a fixed amount every month and want to estimate what it could grow to. Choose the EMI Calculator when you are repaying a loan and want the monthly payment and total interest — SIP is about growth of money you invest, EMI is about the cost of money you borrow. This tool models a fixed monthly SIP only: it has no lumpsum or step-up mode, and it does not deduct fund costs, tax, or inflation, so use its result as an estimate rather than a forecast.
