A common real scenario: you scanned a stack of documents and one or two pages fed through the scanner sideways while the rest came out correctly. Rotating the entire document to fix those pages would turn every correctly oriented page the wrong way, which is clearly not what you want. Selective, per-page rotation solves this properly.

The workflow is straightforward: view a preview of each page, identify which specific pages are misoriented, select only those, and apply the correct rotation angle to just that selection. Pages you don't touch stay exactly as they were.

For documents with several misoriented pages that don't all need the same rotation, for example one page sideways clockwise and another upside down, apply the fixes in separate passes: select and rotate one group by 90 degrees, then select and rotate a different group by 180 degrees, checking the preview between each pass.

Once every page looks correct in the preview, download the finished file. This selective approach takes slightly more attention than a single blanket rotation, but it's the only way to fix mixed-orientation documents correctly without introducing new problems on the pages that were already fine.
